About Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest park in India and is also known as Hailey National Park established in 1936 to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. Located in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, this is first park to come under the Project Tiger initiative. Corbett National Park comprises 520.8 KM2 area of hills, riverine belts, marshy depressions, grasslands and a large lake. Forest covers almost 73% of the park, 10% of the area consists of grasslands. It houses around 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species. More than 586 species of resident and migratory birds have been categorized. 33 species of reptiles, 7 species of amphibians & fish and 36 species of dragonflies have also been recorded. Leopards are found in hilly areas, the other cats like jungle cat, fishing cat, leopard cat & other mammals include barking deer, sambar deer, hog deer and chital, sloth. Himalayan black bears, Indian grey mongoose, otters, yellow-throated martens o name some more…the list goes on. Also, Indian elephants can be seen in herds while the river is ruled by local crocodiles and gharials.

Itinerary [Arrival to Departure]

Day 1[Arrival]: 26th Feb’25

  • Arrival at Machaan.
  • 8.30 pm Dinner and lights off!

Day 2 [Game Drive]: 27th Feb’25

  • 7:00 am Wakeup call with coffee / tea
  • Post Breakfast transfer to Dhikala forest rest house.
  • 12.30 pm check in at Dhikala forest house,1.00pm Lunch 2:00 pm leave for afternoon safari.
  • 6:30 pm Return back to the resort.
  • 8:00 pm assemble for an in-depth classroom session/ Image reviews/ Photography discussion.
  • Dinner and lights off!

Day 3,4[Game Drive]: 28th Feb & 1st Mar’25

  • 5:00 am Wakeup call with coffee / tea
  • Will depart for Morning Safari at 5.15 am.
  • 10:30 am Return to Resort for Breakfast/Tea or Coffee/bath/refresh. Lunch with some leisure time.
  • 2:00 pm leave for afternoon safari.
  • 7:00 pm Return back to the resort.
  • 8:00 pm assemble for an in-depth classroom session/ Image reviews/ Photography discussion.
  • 9:00 pm Dinner and lights off!

Day 5[Departure]: 2nd Mar’25

  • 5:00 am Wakeup call with coffee / tea
  • Will depart for Morning Safari at 5.15 am.
  • 10:30 am Return to Resort for Breakfast/Tea or Coffee/bath/refresh. Checkout by 11.00 am and transfer to Ramnagar
  • End of Expedition

Exclusions:

  • Flight/train tickets
  • All meals at Dhikala FRH

  • Participants are required to cover any expenses not specified in the ‘inclusions’ as additional costs.

Note: Any forthcoming increases in Government Taxes and Safari Fees imposed by the Forest Department are not included in the package, but we will promptly notify you and invoice you for these charges upon receiving communication from the authorities.

Cost Per Person:

  • INR 46,350 Incl of 5% GST and applicable taxes
  • Tribe Members are entitled to a discount of 10%
  • Children up to 5 years of age are complimentary, above 5 years would be charged as normal.

  • 50% at the time of booking.
  • Balance 50% 30 days before the Expedition

  • Cancellation made within the first 10 days of booking would be entitled for a 50% credit note of trip cost.
