Satpura National Park is spread over 1427 sq km and was formed in 1981 after joining Satpura, Pachmari and Bori sanctuaries. Its fauna comprises Spotted Dear, Indian Bison(Gaur), Tigers, Leopards, Wild boar, Wild dog, Sloth bear, Black buck, Porcupine, Sambhar, Four Horned antelopes, Otters, Crocodile, Malabar squirrels, Langurs. Indian Giant squirrel and White Bison are a special feature of Satpura National Park. From November to March it also hosts a variety of migratory birds in the Tawa reservoir and fields around the park.

About Kanha National Park:

Kanha Tiger Reserve is truly a treat for every wildlife and Nature lover. Rudyard Kipling’s famous novel “The Jungle Book” real life inspiration is Kanha forest, this lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines where the drama and adventure never stops. The Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh came into being in 1955 and forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, created in 1974 under Project Tiger. This is the largest National Park in central India with core area of 940 km2 & 1,067 km2 Buffer zone and top 10 famous tourist destination for jungle lovers. The park offers with significant population of the Wild cats family like Royal Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopards; other species like Sloth Bear, Barasingha, Indian wild Dog, Indian Wolf; 300 species of birds and the most commonly seen wild birds; Nocturnal animals like Fox, Hyena, Jungle cat, Civets, Reptiles such as Indian pythons, Indian cobras, krait, Rat snakes, vipers and many species of turtles and amphibians are found in or near the water bodies. Kanha Tiger Reserve is home to over 1000 species of flowering plants that enhance the beauty of this forest.

About the Skipper

Balaji Narayanan, hailing from Chennai, India, embarked on his wildlife photography journey a decade ago. Since then, he’s roamed the length and breadth of India, seeking to unravel the natural world’s beauty and craft stories that push the boundaries of human imagination. With a deep passion for teaching and storytelling. He’s not just a photographer; he’s a symphony conductor of visual tales. Bala’s dedication to understanding bird behaviors led him to pursue a course in ornithology, while his adventurous spirit extends beneath the surface as a professional scuba diver, exploring the mysteries of the marine world. As the skipper for Ecotrailz, he leads and conducts enriching photo workshops for participants, enhancing their skills during their journeys with Ecotrailz.

Itinerary [Arrival to Departure]

Day 1[Arrival]: 14th November 2024

  • Transfer from Nagpur to Kanha at 8.00 am.
  • Lunch will be served between 12.00 to 01.00 pm.
  • By 2:00 pm leave for afternoon safari
  • 7:00 pm Return back to the resort.
  • 8:00 pm assemble for an in-depth classroom session/ Image reviews/ Photography discussion with Balaji.
  • Dinner and lights off!

Day 2,3 [Game Drives]: 15th – 16th November’24

  • 5:00 am Wakeup call with coffee / tea
  • 5.15 am we will depart for Morning Safari with packed breakfast. 11:00 am Return to Camp.
  • 12.00 to 1.00 pm Lunch.
  • 1:00 pm we will leave for afternoon safari.
  • 7:00 pm Return back to the resort.
  • 8:00 pm assemble for an in-depth classroom session/ Image reviews/ Photography discussion with Balaji.
  • Dinner and lights off!

Day 4[Departure]: 17th November’24

  • 5:00 am Wakeup call with coffee / tea
  • Will depart for Morning Safari at 5.30 am
  • 11:00 am Return to camp for Breakfast/Tea or Coffee/bath/refresh Checkout at 11.30 am.
  • End of Expedition

Inclusions:

  • Land Transfers- Nagpur to Nagpur Full-board stay (Twin sharing) 6 safaris in important zones in the park
  • Photography Classroom & Image review sessions with Balaji Forest Permits
  • Vehicle charges
  • GST & Applicable taxes

Exclusions:

  • Flight/train tickets
  • Camera fees if any
  • Alcoholic/Non-Alcoholic beverages
  • Tips, laundry, personal snacks etc.
  • Participants are required to cover any expenses not specified in the ‘inclusions’ as additional costs.

Note: Any forthcoming increases in Government Taxes and Safari Fees imposed by the Forest Department are not included in the package, but we will promptly notify you and invoice you for these charges upon receiving communication from the authorities.

Cost Per Person:

  • INR 59,600 Incl of 5% GST and applicable taxes
  • Tribe Members are entitled to a discount of 10%
  • Children up to 5 years of age are complimentary, above 5 years would be charged as normal.

  • Cancellation made within the first 10 days of booking would be entitled for a 50% credit note of trip cost.
